Its Snack Time

Snack time is my daughters favorite and I have to say I love it too. Coming up with healthy options for her is hard when they have so many easy unhealthy options. I watched Ree making this on her show and thought it sounded amazing. I’m going to call these Apple Cookies because I don’t know what else to call them.

Slice an apple and cut out the core. Top with peanut butter, granola and cinnamon. We both ate every bite of this. While we were eating these I was thinking about how blessed I am in every aspect of my life. Even if everything doesn’t always go the way you had planned embrace the imperfections in life. I enjoyed reading recently about Ree’s life and family in the People magazine. She stated “We’re Bible-reading folks, and we love that verse that’s says “Do not store up for yourselves treasure on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven.’ ” I love when people stand up for their faith and she is not afraid to tell everyone. She also gave her two favorite recipes at the Merc that she opened Pecan Sticky Buns and Spicy Cowgirl Coffee which I will be sharing with you soon. Hope everyone has a blessed day!!
